This week at lunch I’ve been snaging a few bites here and there to see what happens. And nothing did. Today I put down two whole bananas over the lunch hour, with no ill effects. I guess God wants me to start eating bananas again. Wooo Hoooo!

Funny thing but I had that same experience, only for me it was apples that I could not eat (for many years). now I eat them with great relish - only skip the relish, it doesn't enhance them much. S-

The first childhood episode was probably indigestion associated with actually ingesting the suspected food, whereas subsequent events were almost certainly mediated by an autonomic supratentorial reflex (think Pavlov's dog) brought on by association, rather than by a true food allergy. This involves the vagus nerve, of course.
