It's like opening a Christmas gift, everytime.

This green font is a tribute to our friends at WM (waste management) and their green goody bins. From time to time I find myself in one of these bins ripping open piles of "gift bags" filled with presents for me. This week we came home with $500 worth of flower bulbs. Asher and I spent a good part of monday planting them around the house. I wish I could be around here when those two bushels of tulip bulbs turn our back yard into an explosion of color.
I've been a bit dissapointed with the meat situation around here. The temps have risen into the mid 40s, and there hasn't been any big hauls. Maybe we could convince the grocer to overstock steak like he did in Columbus.

Glad to hear of your flowery pull. I was talking to my friend who lives in Houghton, and he said, "find Beardo, and then tell him that Brent says hi." I was hoping for some secrets about the campus, but I guess that will have to do.

i love the "christmas gift" picture, zack, but for some reason that post appears as meaningless symbols on my computer. oh what shall i do?

yeah, same here, so I copied it into a text window. Another way to read it is to click "Show Original Post" while at the comments page. Zac, it seems the font has become "Webdings" which is hard for us mortals to read.

Hello,

You asked a question on my blog. I'm assuming you mean the pic of the guy with the guitar, and also that you are referring to how it is placed on the page. It is some CSS trick, something I honestly don't know a lot about. I got the template here:

http://blogtemplates.noipo.org/

It's called Easter Island and I merely got my own image to replace the stone statue picture, being sure to keep the same dimensions as the original.
